Rashani performs in small ensembles of 4-5 dancers as well
as a larger troupe of up to 10 dancers. Our performances
include floorwork, sword and basket balancing, spanish skirt
work and finger cymbals.
Wendy Marlatt, the troupe director, instructs workshops,
seminars and classes throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe.
Tribal style blends Romany, Flamenco and Indian influences
with regional belly dances from Egypt, Turkey and Tunisia.
The flavor is dynamic and unique, conveying the power of
flamenco with the fluidity of Belly Dance. The inique feature
of Tribal Belly dance is its use of group improvisation.
Dancers use cues to change movements rather than memorized
choreography.
Each dance is fresh, spontaneous and unique! |
