Wendy Marlatt is a life long dancer and began her training in tap and modern in childhood. For the past 15 years has studied numerous world dance styles.
Wendy received her key training in Tribal Belly Dance under the direction of Carolena Nericccio with FatChance BellyDance in San Francisco for eight years. Wendy is also thankful for the instruction of other great teachers including Heather Stants, Jill Parker, Kami Liddle, Mira Betz, Rachel Brice and dance ethnographes Amel Tafsout and Helene Eriksen.
In 2003 Wendy took her artistry in Tribal Belly dance to Ireland where she founded and directed Rashani, an international Tribal Belly Dance collective. Wendy's weekly classes and specialty workshops brought warmth, vibrancy and fun to her students throughout Ireland as well as the Uk. Her vision expanded the boundaries of Tribal Belly dance.
Highlight performances from Rashani include the Festival of World Cultures in 2004, 2005 and 2007, the Dublin Fringe Festival in 2006 and 2007 and Fantasia the Uk's largest Arabic dance festival. As a guest artist Wendy has performed for Hossam Ramzy at London's Union Chapel with Pedralta Dance. She was also a guest instructor and performer to the Belly Dance Superstar tour at Tribal London in 2008 and 2009 and at Raqs Brittania in 2008.
Now based in San Francisco, Wendy shares her passion for dance and her unique style of World Fusion Belly Dance in the Bay Area.
